Support Worker – £11.00 - £14.00 per hour

Margate & Broadstairs, Kent

SCP Complex Care are currently recruiting for experienced support workers to work with our male and female clients in the Margate and Broadstairs areas.

We will be providing support to children aged 14 years old with varying severe complex needs which include learning difficulties & visual impairment. One client is diagnosed with a form of muscular dystrophy (Congenital Myotonic Dystrophy). He is mobile however does have the use of a wheelchair. He is fed via Gastro - Jejunostomy. He often has vacant seizures. The other client has Epilepsy and has a feed pump.

You must have experience of the following: Gastrostomy and/or Jejunostomy, Epilepsy, BIPAP, Dysphagia, Epilepsy, Mobilisation, Knowledge of Makaton or British Sign Language would be beneficial. Also the administration of medication & cough assist.

The shifts will be daytime, up to 26 hours per week.

Would suit someone with a nursing background.
