Live In Carer

Job description:

We are recruiting for a live in care worker to provide support to an older female client who is due to be discharged from hospital any day.  Therefore this position is available immediately.

The suitable applicant will have experience of providing live in care which will include a variety of day to day living duties including personal care, assistance with washing and dressing, preparation of meals and carrying out household chores.  Assiting and moving experience is essential including hoist use. Experience with diabetes is desireable but not essential.

Companionship is very important in this role as well as enabling the client to have her own space when desired.

You will also be a driver and have the use of a vehicle as transportation to hospital appointments will be required as well as food shopping and vists to the chemist to collect prescriptions.

The family are able to support at various times throughout the day as mobility is an issue.  This will be discussed and arranged accordingly.

This package of care will require more than one carer, therefore working patterns will be discussed and arranged with you directly.  There is a possibility of carers working either one week on, one week off or two weeks on & off. 

Please note that there is a genuine occupational requirement for a female only to fulfill this role.
