Support Worker

SCP Complex Care are recruiting for experienced support workers to work with a 17 year old male in Sevenoaks. Our client has Muscular Dystrophy (a group of inherited diseases that damages and weaken the muscles over time), BIPAP, is on medication, wheelchair bound and needs full mobility and personal care support.

Our client is fed via gastrostomy, experience in these fields is preferred. Applicants will also need moving and handling experience as our client is hoisted at home and slides in the community.

The shifts available at present are -

Hours are Weekends and Non Term Time

Fridays: 4pm - 10pm

Saturday and Sunday: 9.00am - 10pm

Shifts are double handed which will require 2 care support workers on shift in the community and single handed at home.

The successful candidate will have:

•A minimum of 6 months experience

•Be self-motivated and able to use own initiative

•Able to work under pressure and in stressful and challenging situations

•Must be a driver with full clean driving licence
